Thank you for all of the great quilts you’ve made for the 6 agencies we currently serve.  They are listed below alphabetically together with some information about them and the general sizes of quilts needed for those agencies.

  • Bend High School Teen Parent Program – baby appropriate quilts 40”x 44” and slightly larger; needs only about 25 each year

  • Cascade Youth Services – serves troubled older teen female and male youth, some who have been incarcerated and are currently acquiring a GED and may have a part-time job;  needs quilts that are 60”x72+” (female); 60”x78+” (male) with appropriate colors and themes for older teens; needs 60-70 quilts per year

  • Partners in Care of Bend – LaPine – serves youth through seniors; needs quilts that are 50”x60+” for youth and 60”x72+” for adults

  • Kids’ Center – serves hundreds of children from toddlers to teens; needs quilts 50”x60+” in child-appropriate fabrics; needs hundreds of quilts

Bring your completed quilts to our guild meetings so we can show them in our Parade of Quilts. Each quilt needs a label and we will have them there along with needle and thread.

Our monthly Communtiy Quilt Day is held the Wednesday after the regular meeting. We meet at the Nativity Luthern Church 60850 Brosterhous Road from 11:00 until 3:00. Please join us for a fun day. Bring your machine, basic sewing supplies, lunch and learn some new techniques and meet new people. The church asks us to contribute to their food bank by bringing one of these items each time we come.  The store with the best buy is listed following the item. Please don't deviate from the list below.  If you don't have time to purchase something from the list, a cash donation is always welcome!

Directions to the church 60850 Brosterhous Road

Your best way is to come down Reed Market to 15th and then down 15th until it runs into Knott Road, then right for one block and you are there. Or you can come down 27th until it curves around and becomes Knott Road. You do not want to come down Brosterhaus as it has been and will continue to be under construction.
